About Me

In my experience, I have found that everyone is capable of excelling. As a tutor, I see myself as a guide through unknown terrain. The journey across is yours to make; I am just here to help you get to your destination. I have been tutoring since High School working with middle school students to improve their reading and writing abilities. In college, I would help draft essays and research papers. Although I can tutor a variety of subjects, my specialty is with the language arts. I can tutor at all levels of reading and writing on whatever type of reading or writing you are engaging in, be it creative or academic. However, my favorite subject to tutor would be public speaking. Most people hate speaking in front of a crowd, and I used to count myself among them. What changed was that I realized no one wanted me to fail. The crowd was there to listen to me, and they all were rooting for me to get my ideas across clearly. Some final notes about myself: I received my Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and my Bachelor of Arts from University of California, Merced; outside of tutoring, I enjoy playing video games like DA:I or SCII, and watching Anime and TV shows online; my favorite Anime would be either Fruits Baskets or Escaflowne; I also like to sing.
