About Me

I am a graduate of Howard Payne University. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Christian Education with a focus in youth ministry. I am currently working towards a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology. My teaching experience spans nearly 12 years in public schools, private schools, and as a private tutor facilitating academic and social skill development. While I tutor most subjects, I am the most efficient in elementary and middle school reading, writing, and math as well as high school advanced reading and writing. I love to see students' faces light up when they explore the adventures inside a story. When teaching students, I prefer a collaborative approach. The student and I work together as partners to investigate how the student learns best, strengthening confidence academically and socially. In my spare time, I enjoy oil painting, reading, and camping with my husband.
