I have a Bachelor's degree from the University of Houston in English with a concentration in creative writing and a minor in political science. I have extensive experience tutoring English, particularly writing, and I have worked with all types of students including business students, science students, and English as a second language students. I believe that language is what unites us all and as such, I strive my best to help my students to communicate their ideas in a way that is succinct and clear so that their brilliant ideas can be easily shared with the world. Additionally, I have found that improving a student's confidence is the first step that leads to major strides for students, and as such, I am a constant positive force with my students, providing constant and steady encouragement. I am also very steady and patient with my students, and prefer to help my students find solutions for themselves rather than just giving them the right answer. I have really enjoyed living and working here in Houston as it has provided me excellent opportunities to play music (I am a lead singer in a band) and participate in some of the great sports activities around the city (I chase Frisbees like a golden retriever).
