I lived on three different continents and visited many countries. I have always been passionate about people development, and teaching is one of them. Introducing a new language is a way to make my students travel abroad and learn about other cultures while having fun learning Spanish.I love to read, walk, and spend time with my family in my spare time.

I have been tutoring for 20+ years to students that are in public, private and homeschooled. All subjects, levels and grades taught including test preps and beyond college. I will find different techniques and methods to help students learn their work, as not all students learn the same. I am available most days and times and also tend to assist students on days they do not have a session scheduled if they are struggling with homework etc. My main focus is the student and their success, so whatever it takes!

I have experience in the testing grades of 3-5 and helping students comprehend complex text and navigate them on their own. I am passionate about learning and teaching.

I am a student at Tufts University, studying English and International Relations with minors in Economics and Spanish. I have extensive tutoring experience in reading, writing, and other English related topics from 2nd-10th grade. I also have experience tutoring children who do not speak English as their first language, and I speak conversational Spanish. I believe that the subject of English is not an inherent talent, but can be learned with effort and hard work. I strongly believe everyone can learn to enjoy reading.

In 2019 I was nominated for Minnesota Teacher of the Year. It makes my day to see students proud of reaching each goal they set out to conquer! I've worked with students on English listening, speaking, reading, vocabulary and phonics goals, as well as language-related content goals (science, math, social studies, etc) in order to improve test-taking skills. While learning, we try to keep things fun with TPR movements, music, mnemonics, game-style learning activities, etc., as it helps our brain remember when we feel at ease. However, I also keep high expectations so students grow as much as possible. That's why my students feel proud of their accomplishments - they worked hard and earned it!

I am a sophomore at the University of Georgia working towards a degree in Finance B.B.A. During my time at UGA, I was accepted into the Terry College of Business and joined its Finance Society. A big part of who I am is service. I have continued my passion at UGA by joining ServeUGA, a community service organization dedicated to helping the Athens, GA community. Also, I became a part of UGA HEROs, an organization that raises money to improve the quality of lives of children affected or infected by HIV. My Prior tutoring experience was at Darlington boarding school, which had dorms that housed its boarding students. I assisted with study hall, where students devoted 2 hours of their time to their school work. They were allowed to come to me for help with their homework if they needed it. I was especially efficient in helping students in Math, English, and Spanish. While this was not technically a tutoring position, I still gained experience when it came to assisting my peers with their course work. Also, I was part of the Spanish club, and members had an opportunity to assist students from both our high school and our middle school with their Spanish classes during school hours. I would receive an email from a student, and we would work out a time to meet and work together. When it comes to tutoring, I try to get a sense of the learning style to best help the student. I also try to provide positive assurances to help motivate students and continue to learn. I enjoy watching sports, exercise, reading, and cooking.
