Hi, I'm Felipe. I am a 3rd year pre-med college student studying Biomedical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. I first discovered my passion for teaching a few years ago when I began tutoring ACT and SAT for a tutoring company in my hometown of Frisco. Since then, I have gotten deeply involved with teaching. I have gotten to volunteer for non-profit college organizations at underserved Austin elementary schools to encourage kids to go into STEM, I have gotten to help teach for an introductory biomedical engineering laboratory class at UT, and I have been employed by UT's Engineering Student Services to tutor other students in organic chemistry for well over a year. In that time, I have found that I especially enjoy working with high school and college students. My journey as a student is far from over, so everything I teach is something that I have been right in the middle of learning recently. My favorite subject to tutor is organic chemistry. It is something I've been teaching for a long time, and it's a subject I've gotten to understand well. Other subjects I love to tutor include biology, chemistry, physics, and all math through calculus; my career path has required me to synthesize all these subjects rather well. ACT/SAT test prep is also something I enjoy teaching and is something I have experience with. I have started to offer MCAT tutoring, as it is one of the more rigorous exams I have had success with, and a skill I would love to pass on to other aspiring physicians.

I would love to work with you as your French tutor! I took my first French class in 4th grade, and loved it from the start. I have a major in French Language and Literature from Miami University, with a minor in European Area Studies. I have lived/studied abroad in France on two separate occasions and have visited many different regions of the beautiful country. I have taught one year of French 101 at the university level and was a high school French teacher in a college prep high school in Illinois for 5 years. I left because we recently relocated to Texas for my husband's job and I am looking to work with students as a French tutor. I truly love the language, and pride myself in being able to explain even the seemingly most complicated grammar rules in a straightforward manner. I have been currently working as a professional tutor for a little over a year but I have been tutoring for a lot longer than that. I remember tutoring my kid sister for the past couple of years in subjects such as Algebra, History, Chemistry, etc. Finally, in her senior year of high school, I still cherish the moments when she asks for my help. Over the past couple of months I have been tutoring at a place in Allen and I love every moment of it. During the course of that time I have been able to establish a great relationship with all my kids. I love seeing their smiles when they tell me they were able to ace a test in school due to my help. Tutoring and mentoring kids is honestly the best job I have ever had.I am currently a junior at the University of Texas at Dallas where I am working on a BS Health Care Administration and Biology. I hope to eventually have a job coordinating departments within a health care clinic or even a hospital. I specialize mostly in on-level or pre-AP Biology and Chemistry as well as Algebra but feel confident teaching subjects such as History and AP Biology.I hold myself to a high standard and I will hold my students to the same standards I hold myself. I will not only try to teach the concepts, I will teach critical learning skills so my students can take the knowledge they acquired and apply it to other classes as they move through their school career.

I am a classically and contemporarily trained vocalist with quite a bit of knowledge about the music industry.I currently study Performance Studies at New York University.During my first year at NYU, I released my first single on iTunes, Spotify, and other major music streaming services.I also have a love for the English language and would love to help share my passion!In addition to my knowledge of and love for music and English, I also enjoy math. I was the Vice President of a math fraternity, Mu Alpha Theta while I was in high school and I enjoy working math related puzzles in my free time.
