I am a Freshman of the Class of 2024 in the University of Texas at Dallas; my major is Computer Science. Back when I was in high school in Vietnam, which is a long time ago (at least 5 years), I stood out amongst my friends with the ability to perform really well in science subjects like Math, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. I always love learning new things and have a passion for academic stuff. One of my proudest achievements back then was earning the highest score amongst high school seniors in my state in the annual national final exam of 2015, an equivalent to the SAT. Afterwards, I spent nearly 4 years in college as a medical student but had to quit my studying to immigrate to the US. Though I am a little bit old to start college again, I do not really deem this as a disadvantage. In fact, my past experience would be really helpful to guide me through tough times in college. I am so excited and thankful that I have a chance to pursue my passion in one of the best education systems in the world.

I'm a full-time high school math teacher who teaches juniors and seniors. This is my 5th year teaching. I'm looking to tutor after-school and on the weekends. I attended the University of Texas, majored in Mathematics, and graduated in 2011. During my time in Austin, I tutored part-time while going to school.

I am continuing my education with a Master's in the same field. For years, I've helped my friends and siblings with homework for school, and they've always told me that I had a talent for teaching; I understand concepts very easily, and explanations come easy as well. The goal that I work towards for my students is to bless them holistically, both through my academic skills and through any relationship that I am able to build with them. I believe in teaching my key patterns of thinking; teach them how to fish instead of giving them a fish, as it is said. I am best at Math and Science, and any of the high-school level subjects pertaining to those fields.

I am currently a Master's student at Cornell University. I graduated with my Bachelor's of Science from Cornell in 2016 and I plan to attend medical school in the fall of 2017. I am a prematriculant student at the University of Chicago. In high school I took advanced STEM courses at the University of North Texas through a high school program called the Texas Academy of Math and Science. I love taking high level math courses, but I get even more excited when I can help friends and classmates in courses I have already taken. I believe that having a solid understanding of math concepts builds you up for success in any field. I have experience as a teaching assistant in pre-calculus and calculus and have experience tutoring and assisting students in high school math, calculus, and differential equations. When preparing students for standardized tests like the ACT and SAT, I focus on filling any gaps in material and teaching new techniques for making the test easier and quicker to take.
