I'm Eisha, a Public Health major at the University of Texas at Austin with an interest in medicine and teaching.

I am a fourth year undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Austin pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering Honors with minors in Computer Science and Business. I have always been passionate about helping others by continuing the chain of mentorship that I received and helping others avoid the same mistakes I once made. Prior to University, I spent my spare time spreading environmental awareness to elementary students, coaching middle school basketball teams, and guiding nascent MathCounts and Science Olympiad programs. Since arriving at UT Austin, I have had the privilege of teaching a classroom of middle schoolers for a semester as part of the UTeach Outreach program. I am most passionate about Math, Computer Science, and the college application process. In my experience helping struggling students prepare their applications for admissions, I have had the most fun reviewing essays and revising resumes. I also enjoy sharing tips and tricks to solving any Standardized Math Test questions! I truly believe education is the key to a better future, and it cannot be taken for granted because of the unequal opportunities that others face. I am a graduate of Texas A&M University; I received a Bachelor of Science in Biology along with being a minor in Spanish. I also studied at Plano ISD in high school. As Plano ISD is recognized for its academic achievements and competitiveness, I have always been positively challenged by my curriculum and by my peers to improve and to push myself to excel. From a young age, I have always been a part of the Gifted and Talented program. Trying to challenge myself and wanting to be different, I took a risk and joined the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program, a program that was not as well recognized at the time and was extremely difficult. Joining the IB program was the best decision I have taken thus far. I gained knowledge from all around world- different insights, different histories, different philosophies, different literature, etc.

I am a student at Trinity University currently studying biochemistry. I have experience as a tutor my senior year at Clear Lake High School, when I worked as an instructor at Mathnasium. I also volunteered in a program helping students with SAT prep and college applications. My favorite subject to tutor is math, because the clear cut answers of mathematics make it easy for a student to see their progress and build their confidence, which for me is the best part of tutoring! My teaching style is very flexible, as everyone has different needs, but I usually use a lot of socratic questioning. Outside of academics, my interests include singing, soccer, and most recently, rock climbing!
