I am Gisselle Valdez, currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition & Dietetics at Northern Illinois University. With experience tutoring elementary school students, I focus primarily on reading and math, and I am also open to teaching Spanish (I have taken Spanish classes and am a native speaker). My approach is centered on clear communication and breaking down complex concepts into manageable parts, ensuring that students feel supported and understood. I believe that learning should be engaging and enjoyable, and I strive to create a fun atmosphere that fosters curiosity and patience, particularly for young learners. Reading is a personal passion of mine, and I enjoy sharing that enthusiasm with students to help them overcome challenges. I look forward to making a positive impact on their academic journeys.

In my free time, I enjoy reading both fiction and non-fiction to keep learning and exploring new ideas. I also like staying active through working out! It helps me focus. Beyond that, I love spending quality time with my friends and family. Also, I enjoy dancing! I am not a professional but it is one of my favorite ways to decompress and express myself.
