I'm a student at BYU pursuing a degree in Philosophy while completing Pre-Medical coursework. My goal is to become a pediatric surgeon.
I've worked as a one-on-one piano teacher for four years and have also served as a tutor and teaching assistant in various subjects over the past two years.
My teaching philosophy has two main principles:
1. The most effective tutors don't just explain material they provide scaffolding that helps students understand concepts for themselves.
2. All feedback should be kind, specific, and useful.
I tutor a wide range of subjects, but I'm especially qualified in Formal Logic, Chemistry, Emergency Medicine Certifications, and Test Preparation Strategies.
Outside of school, I enjoy running, volunteering in my community, and slowly teaching myself how to play the guitar.

I’m passionate about music, and when I'm not playing it myself I'm probably listening to it. I’m also an avid runner and recently completed my first half-marathon. I love reading and have recently developed an appreciation for audiobooks. I stay engaged with current events and have a strong interest in both domestic and international politics, which keeps me thinking critically about the world around me.
