I am a proud graduate of Howard University where I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Strategic, Legal, and Management Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and minor in African Studies. It is an honor to support students in their academic pursuits and witness them excel. While tutoring reading, language arts, and math in after-school programs in Washington D.C., I saw first-hand how encouraging students to face challenges head-on develops their confidence and helps them excel when they return to a faster-paced classroom setting. Community involvement matters so much to me, so when teaching social studies, I empower my students to take action to improve their communities! While my experience spans various subjects, I am most passionate about teaching social sciences, reading comprehension skills, and tools to craft compelling written arguments. In my spare time, I enjoy testing my mental fortitude in the gym, practicing restorative yoga, and long walks!
