I believe teaching is one of my callings. My teaching philosophy is to teach students how to think about math using a problem-solving approach. Many teachers teach math simply by showing students steps and having them memorize formulas. My approach is not only to show steps but also to ensure the student understands the concepts of the material. This way, they likely will not need to memorize so many formulas because they will know them intuitively, and they will gain critical thinking skills they can use in future classes, in careers, and in daily life.
I deeply enjoy helping students learn and develop critical thinking skills. My mathematical experience includes being an ACT Math teacher, an assistant teacher in Algebra I and Algebra II classes, and four years of tutoring high school students. I am passionate about mathematics and will earn a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics degree in May 2025.
I tutor Algebra 1, Algebra 2, ACT Math, College Algebra, Calculus 1, and AP Calculus AB.
