I hold a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Illinois, with minors in Geography/GIS and Arms Control and Security. This study track was chosen to engage my passion for discovering how our world works, why it works that way, and what we can do about it.

My desire to get to the bottom of any problem benefits from my analytical skills and insight, which I hope can be shared with students as I help them understand their difficulties and navigate to their own solutions.

Hobbies

Ever since early childhood, I have always been drawn to the creative world. I began writing poetry and drawing as a small child, and I'm at my happiest wherever there are new projects to try. Whether I'm singing oratorios in a concert hall, or brushing wool at a historical reenactment, I love surrounding myself with the beautiful process of creating something new and special. Some of my favorite hobbies include knitting, choir, gardening, playing the autoharp and mountain dulcimer, songwriting, and being involved in my local folk music community.
