My first teaching experiences were in college classrooms teaching art history at several colleges in the mid-Atlantic. I became a full-time pre-collegiate teacher after finishing my Masters Degree at Middlebury College in Vermont. This was a place where I could merge together my interests in literature, history, and theatre. My thesis focused on Theatre in Northern Ireland during the Troubles. Since then I have taught IB Theatre and Humanities, especially literature and art history. I believe in life-long learning and I live that idea every day. It's important for me to learn something new every day and because I'm a teacher down to my toes, I like to share what I've learned. But, my favorite thing is helping students achieve their goals. I love to discover how a student learns and then share that information with them so that they can advocate for their own education moving forward. And, I love the process of helping students improve their writing skills.
