Certified Tutor

As a Master's student in Statistics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a B.A. in Mathematics and Political Science, I bring both deep content knowledge and years of hands-on teaching experience to every session. Over the past five years, I've worked with students ranging from elementary school to collegeserving as a Lead Math Instructor at Mathnasium, a college math tutor, and a teaching assistant for large undergraduate statistics courses.

My teaching style is student-centered, adaptive, and supportive. I begin each lesson by identifying the student's current level of understanding and goals for the session. From there, I tailor the instruction to their learning stylebreaking down complex topics into manageable parts, using real-world examples when possible, and reinforcing ideas through guided practice and feedback. My sessions typically include a brief concept review, targeted instruction, and interactive problem-solving. I foster a learning environment that's welcoming, patient, and encouraging, where students feel safe asking questions and growing from their mistakes.

What sets me apart is the combination of my academic background and my ability to communicate clearly across all levels. Whether you're building foundational skills or tackling advanced topics, I'm committed to helping you not just succeed, but truly understand and feel confident in the material.

Beyond academics, I enjoy volunteering, playing video games, spending time with friends and family, and supporting others in reaching their goals. I'm passionate about making math approachable, building confidence, and creating a supportive, engaging learning environment.
