Hello! My name is Cristian Umana Hernandez, and I am a senior at Vanderbilt University, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Cognitive Studies. My passion for mathematics, particularly in UK A Level Mathematics, has driven me to tutor for over 2 years, beginning in middle school when I helped classmates understand algebra concepts. I find joy in making math relatable through real-life applications, which not only engages students but also fosters a deeper understanding. My tutoring philosophy centers on creating a supportive and personalized learning environment where I encourage students to express their interests, as I believe this connection enhances their learning experience. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy biking, skating, and running, which keep me energized and focused. I am excited about the opportunity to inspire students on their mathematical journeys!
