Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Barnard College/Columbia University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in American Studies with a focus on American Politics, Music and Literature. I also completed the Education Program and received certification as a Middle and High School Social Studies Teacher. After graduating, I received a Fulbright Scholarship to teach English in a Korean Middle School for one year and then spent three years teaching social studies at a top high school in New York City. I left teaching and received a Master of Public Policy with a focus on education policy from Georgetown University. I then pursued a career in management consulting and traveled around the world working for commercial, government and non-profit clients. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Literature, and History. I believe in the importance of education and making it interesting and fun. I believe it is important to reach students in a way that interests them and suits their learning style. In my spare time, I enjoy surfing, yoga and spending time with my adorable mini goldendoodle.
