I believe that everyone can be successful with confidence and the right tools. I truly enjoy sharing my passion for learning with students. I hope to help them achieve their immediate goals while also increasing their overall skills and love of knowledge. My primary areas of expertise and interest are test prep and social sciences, but I also enjoy tutoring math and science. I'm one of those unusual people who actually loves standardized tests. In addition, I believe one of the most important keys to success is being able to read and write well, so I emphasize those skills with my students whenever possible. I also have extensive experience with AP exams having taught AP Psychology and AP Human Geography at the high school level (with a very high student pass rate). In addition, I have worked for the College Board and Educational Testing Services since 2009 in many roles including scoring and authoring questions for the AP US History exam.

When it's time to relax, I love to crochet, usually while watching a documentary. I love non-fiction in both book and film form. In fact, I struggle to find documentaries I have not yet seen. I'm also a competitive billiards player. I enjoy it because it is a sport that takes a lifetime to truly master.
