Certified Tutor

I am an educator with more than 20 years of experience. I have taught English to kids and adults in China, Uganda, Russia, Mexico, and Spain. I have taught Spanish in public schools in America. I have taught 9-12 grade English in an international school in Uganda where I was also the principal. I have taught online reading, online ESL, small group English conversation clubs for adults, one-on-one English... I have done it all! Of all of the subjects I've taught, I think what I enjoy most is bringing people out of their shell and giving them confidence to communicate in a new language. I like to get to know my students and learn how they learn best. I work to adapt my lessons to fit the needs of my students and help them to reach their goals.
Since I am teacher who is certified in 3 different areas, I have a lot of experience with testing. I have taken the Praxis exams in Spanish, English and Educational Administration. I have also taken the ACT, of course. I would consider helping students prepare for those exams a blast.
I currently live in Spain and prepare students for European Framework exams in English so that they can go to university and adults so that they can get jobs that require a minimum level of English. ALL of my students have reached their exam goals!
