My name is Tara and I am so excited to help and support you towards your learning goals! I am certified to teach mathematics K-12 and have been teaching Mathematics at the secondary level for the past 15 years now:) I have also taught at the college level where I am all too familiar with the foundations a student needs to be successful moving on into college. There is nothing more exciting to me than seeing a tutees eyes light up from feeling more competent in math after having a productive session with me. I have many different styles of teaching so that I can conform to tutoring in a way that works best for that tutee. I firmly believe that not all students learn the same way as everyone has a unique way to process information. It is my sole purpose to find your way of learning so that I can be the best possible tutor for you.

Hobbies

I enjoy being with my baby girl the most. When she is napping or sleeping for the night, I love jigsaw puzzling, playing solitaire and bingo on my iPad, bowling and doing math questions on the college board website (I know that is an odd one for sure haha). I am a HUGE movie and tv series buff. I am into documentaries, thrillers, and drama. Once and awhile I like adventure shows but it has to be reality tv - otherwise it's too unrealistic for me to buy into it :)
