I am a strong believer in Dr. Seuss' quote, "The more that you read, the more things that you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." Based on this quote, reading and learning have certainly helped me to increase my knowledge about various subjects as well as to go many places. For instance, I graduated from Wesleyan College and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Political Science. I also went to Augusta State University, currently known as Augusta University, and received a Master's degree in Public Administration. I obtained a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Human Services with a Specialization in Management of Nonprofit Agencies from Capella University.

The teaching and tutoring experience that I have consists of working with elementary, middle, high school, college, and graduate students in subject areas pertaining to English, Writing, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, American Government, and Investments. I believe that learning should be a memorable and relatable experience for students to enjoy and to apply in their life. My desire is for students to be able to experience the countless opportunities and places that reading and learning can take them as Dr. Seuss said. Reading and learning are life-long endeavors that can take people to places that they would not have imagined.
