I graduated the Master of Engineering Management program at The University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I also received my bachelor's degree from The University of Nebraska-Lincoln; a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. I have been working as a Quality Engineer ever since I graduated with my bachelors. All throughout my bachelors and now into my masters, I have been helping fellow students with their studies. I have done this in both formal, paid situations as well as casual, volunteer work. I enjoy it so much that I volunteered as a tutor at South East Community College here in Lincoln for a spell. I am passionate about helping students; bringing them to that "ah-ha!" moment. I find all the subjects that I tutor fascinating, and I want to share that excitement with people. I volunteer at the Hyde Observatory in Lincoln when I can. That's not tutoring per se but having two or three minutes to teach each guest and bring cosmic wonder to their eyes is always worth standing outside in the cold!

I would describe my tutoring style as "bicycle riding lessons." I will show students the fundamentals, here's the pedals, this is how the break works, etc. Then I'll ride the bike around for a moment so they can see how it's done and that it's not so scary. When it's their turn to ride (i.e., apply the knowledge that we are studying) I follow closely beside them, only intervening if I see them start to tilt. Do you want to learn basic to advanced math, science, or engineering? I'll get you riding that bike in no time!
