I have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and a Master's in School Psychology from the University of Montana. I attended a predoctoral fellowship at Yale University.

My passion is modifying school and community culture to better respond to diversity and special needs. Given funding constraints in these endeavors, much of my work has been pro bono. I am a human rights activist for many years attempting to pursue equitable treatment for ill-treated and underserved populations.

I have worked extensively in neuropsychological labs, clinics and natural environments doing psychological and psycho-educational assessments. I am adept at helping children and adults identify and address learning differences and challenges.

I have extensively studied behavior modification, which is only effective within a rich context of unconditional positive regard (Carl Rogers), i.e., love and respect. All learning that we engage in entails growth and growing pains, and requires grounding in a positive relationship based upon respect. Within that context, wonderful attainment can occur.

Psychology, school cultural enhancement, behavior modification, mental health counseling and related areas are my favorite areas to teach and I have provided many public presentations and in-services in these areas.

I know a lot about science, health and medicine; however, the specific academic areas and learning objectives matter, as my expertise varies.

As a therapist for many years, I have skills in motivating people through stressful situations and assisting with coping skills, which is critical across learning situations and life generally.
