Helping others achieve their learning goals is my lifelong passion! I wholeheartedly believe that each of us is good inside and that we all have potential yet to be reached. We all can be lifelong learners - and it is my desire to instill that belief into my students, young or old.
Whether you are seeking to remediate an area of learning in which you struggle, such as reading comprehension or mathematics - or wanting to learn something new about your writing skills or in a college course - I would love to be your tutor and motivational coach. Together, I will help you see your real strengths and use those to help you reach better scores and learn new things.
I have taught students privately and in the public school classroom setting for 9 years now. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, certification in Special Education, and a Master's in Education degree. In addition, I have privately tutored piano and music students of all ages for around 13 years. You should know that I am a dedicated researcher who is eager to share my knowledge of study skills. I am determined to problem solve with my students even when I don't have the answers yet. I have developed a philosophy of education that is founded on building relationship and personal learning strategies in order to achieve the best outcomes when it comes to education.
I guarantee that in the subject you are seeking help, I will facilitate enjoyable and lighthearted sessions so that you feel more confident. I hope to surprise you with your learning abilities!
