I graduated in 2022 with an Honors BA degree in English: Creative Writing and a minor in Theatre. I'm currently a marketing & communications professional--much of this work involves copywriting, editing and close attention to detail which is what led me to embark on this career after pursuing a degree in English.

I tutor because I'm passionate about supporting others in their writing and learning efforts. I work with students at every level from elementary school to the undergraduate level. I underwent SAT and ACT tutoring myself while preparing for college applications and have written and edited plenty of essays, papers and other written materials, both my own and for others. I'm also experienced in project management--I know how to keep people on task to meet deadlines. I am a strong editor and I use my editing skills every day in my career, but I also enjoy supporting others with editing their writing as a tutor.

In my college years, I completed a literacy internship where I supported adult learners at various levels with their English literacy. I helped immigrants, refugees and native speakers with reading comprehension, grammar, and the writing and editing of academic and professional materials. This was an incredibly enriching experience, and I would love to continue tutoring adults, but I also am passionate about working with children and providing guidance to those in their developing years.

To pursue a degree in creative writing, I participated in many writing workshops. I know what it's like to give and receive feedback on writing, and how to tell a story creatively through fiction, non-fiction, poetry and playwriting. I would be delighted to help anyone on their journey with creative writing or self expression through any art form.

I also successfully completed courses in Spanish up to the AP level, and I'm fluent in Romanian so I have a strong grip on these languages.

I would be so happy to work with you or your child on a subject that needs improvement or extra attention. My tutoring philosophy is collaborative--I don't make assumptions and I work with you to figure out the gaps in your learning and the best tactics to target these areas and start seeing real improvement.
