I have worked in the educational field for over 35 years, as an English/drama teacher, a curriculum supervisor, a building administrator, and an executive director for an international summer program for gifted students. I've also been a newspaper reporter who researched and wrote two historical editions on NJ towns. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Cornell University with a B.A. in English and a Masters of Arts in Teaching, I also have 30 credits in educational administration and supervision from Rider College. It's been my pleasure to work with students from grade 2 through community college. I love to see the growth of an idea or skill for students and to encourage their use of higher order thinking as they approach assignments. In my spare time, I am involved in animal rescue and environmental organizations. I have been a horseback riding instructor, a senior lifesaver, and a camper. I've also lived briefly in England and Belgium and have travelled throughout most of Europe, Canada, and the United States.
