I studied Aerospace Engineering at Auburn University and am a graduate student in Computer Science at Texas Tech University. I believe learning and teaching are fun and should be interesting. I also believe that skills are built on a foundation of knowledge and understanding. Doing the motions without understanding is boring, difficult, and easily forgettable. Understanding and doing can be fascinating and exciting. A good student seeks a deep enough understanding of the material to feel comfortable explaining it, understand its workings, and know how to work complex problems. A good teacher walks the student along the way to these things.
