After receiving my Bachelor's degree in Digital & Broadcast Journalism and minor in Speech Communication from the University of Georgia, I spent 3 years as a full-time news producer with NBC 26/ WAGT-TV. During that time, I also received the amazing opportunity to head coach Augusta University's competitive cheerleading team, whom I helped tutor during my spare time outside of the newsroom. It was then that I realized my passion for teaching and became a middle-school Video Broadcasting Teacher with Fulton County Schools. Here, I developed positive relationships with my students and helped them produce live, daily newscasts broadcasted school-wide and online.
As much as I loved being a teacher inside the classroom, I missed the one-on-one experience tutoring gave me with my students. That's why I'm here-- to motivate and encourage each of my students to get excited to learn! :)
