I was a full time classroom teacher for 7 years, focusing primarily on middle school history education and middle and high school test prep. I have also worked extensively with high school students and have a real passion for education, history, and helping students succeed.

I have taught US history and world history, as well as basic social studies and study skills for several years and am incredibly familiar with the content and skills required for success on all major history and social studies exams students need to take, including AP exams, 8th grade and high school regents, and subject SATs.

Over the course of my career, I successfully ran the history department at the middle school for which I taught, a position that included overseeing the development of other teachers as well as designing curriculum and academic support programs. These programs included heavy doses of tutoring for students struggling in their core academic subjects or with the executive functioning skills required for academic and personal success, and our program had incredible results. I would love to translate these results towards working with your children.

My work as an educator included earning a masters degree specifically in teaching. In order to earn my masters degree, the program required showing competence as a classroom educator, including proving that my students had made significant academic gains over the course of the school year.
