I believe in meeting the student exactly where their skills are and creating a plan together to reach specific goals in their learning. Together, we won't just "learn Spanish/math", together we will use Spanish/math to prepare for a specific assessment.

I find, as a teacher, that setting goals with the students is the best way to make sure we are focused on the student's needs and the needs of the assignment or goal we are aiming for together.
