Teaching is a passion of mine! It is one of the most rewarding activities that I do.
I relish engaging the student to learn about their background, knowledge base, and goals in the academic topic. My tutoring skills are in the life sciences where I spent many years as a biomedical researcher and an instructor at the undergraduate and graduate/professional level. I am a strong believer in integrated knowledge and this is an essential feature of education in the life sciences. It requires a strong foundation that is built from understanding the major concepts of biology at the high school and undergraduate level that then can be used for advanced courses in the life sciences.
