Certified Tutor

I'm a teacher in every sense of the word, and my tutoring is only an extension of what I do every day. But, tutoring is something I know well, too. I was a tutor in the Writing Center at Howard University from freshman year to senior year (I just graduated this past May!), and while there I tutored students of all majors, classifications, and ages (17-30+) and even students who may not have had the same native tongue as I. In addition to that experience, I've been a tutor with Reading Partners in DC, and I've done some teaching in a language school in Oaxaca, Mexico with kids aging from 5 to 9.

I pride myself on being able to interact with and teach people who may be very different from myself and who need a very tailored tutoring experience. I adapt very well, and although my fields of study are primarily English, Africana Studies, and Spanish, I tend to know a little bit about everything. If I don't, I always welcome learning from my tutees (this is a pretty fun word...just saying).


Outside of tutoring/teaching, I love to sing, and I love to write poetry. I'm pro plant-based diets, I love nature, I skateboard, and I'm finally getting back on my yoga!
