If you've ever met me in a classroom, I've always been the person to ask for explanations from when your teacher is making less than zero sense - you can trust me to make simple meaning out of whatever complex concept you've got in front of you. I don't like to think of tutoring as additional teaching so much as untangling stuff you've already been taught, and helping you fully understand things you already sort of know. And in computer science - my field of expertise - any big problem you throw into the world can be divided and conquered, as long as you know how.
