Finja: Leicester tutor
Certified Tutor
Hi there!
My name is Finja and my story involves 3 places I think of as home: born and raised in Germany, I moved to England for high school and college before coming to California in the summer of 2015 to attend grad school.
I majored in History for both my BA and MA, a choice that I could not be happier about. The exploring of the past, the piecing together of evidence, and the endless amounts of readings and discussions not only taught me a lot about specific places, events, and people, they also taught me the values of passion, curiosity, and open-mindedness.
In my free-time I like to cook and be active. Running, hiking, surfing, and really anything that involves being out and about is right up my alley.
If you are looking for a History/German/Writing tutor I would love to hear from you, or as I would say in German: Hoffentlich bis bald!
All my best,
Finja

What is your teaching philosophy?
To respect and appreciate how they respond to the material as well as your teaching style! Teaching HAS to be a two-way enterprise; it can't just be the teacher projecting his or her opinions and beliefs onto the student!
