I am presently a Professor of History at three colleges and have worked at the Junior High through High School Level for many years.
I love History but I am not tied to the pursuit of trivial facts that waste a lot of time in history course. I prefer to discuss the key ideas because I believe that if a student can understand a basic concept that he or she will succeed.
I have access to numerous powerpoints and videos that will help my lessons interesting. Imagine Lady Gaga singing about the French Revolution or Taylor Swift with a song about the American Revolution.
My concern will only be my student's success but I also make sure to communicate with parents.
