No one learns anything unless they feel comfortable and understood. I'm a writer by trade, and my job is to understand who a character is so I know why and how they do what they do. When I work with a student, I try to understand how they see things first; it helps me to see from their perspective, and it helps me to understand how to help them see from another perspective.

Most students have the potential to do better than they are, they just haven't been told in terms that make sense to them. That's what I'm here to do.
