I am currently serving as the head golf coach for Nolan Catholic High School in Fort Worth, Texas. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Houston in May 2014. I also obtained minors in Economics and Philosophy. I am currently working on an MBA in Finance at the University of North Texas.I have served in many accounting roles and served in campus leadership roles all through campus. I have a passion for teaching and receive great enjoyment from others succeeding academically and professionally. I have worked with children from age 4 to high school seniors.I have tutored all elementary subjects, but math is my favorite subject to tutor in because I once hated everything about it until I found a way to excel in it.I am the most flexible tutor there is. I always assess where the student's strength is and use it to help them where they may need some improvement.Outside of academia, I enjoy going to the park with my children and 5 month old dog. I graduated Suma Cum Laude from Jacksonville University with a Bachelors of Science in Marine Science. I then began teaching at a private school for the next 3 years. Following that, I began working for a local virtual school and tutoring at Florida State College of Jacksonville. I loved working individually with students, helping them learn how to better understand the material themselves.I have taught and tutored middle school, high school, and college aged students. Most of my experience is in the life sciences (Biology, Environmental Science, ect), but I have experience with tutoring Chemistry and math through Algebra 2. Hey! I'm a rising sophomore at Georgia Institute of Technology. I love teaching and got a lot of practice from tutoring my brother. Physics is probably my favorite subject to teach.In my spare time, I produce music and play/watch a ton of basketball! (Feel free to talk to me about either)

I received a Bachelor's degree in English with a secondary field (minor) in French at Harvard College. For my honors creative thesis in poetry, I wrote 52 original poems, centered on themes of transit, transience, nature, and urban life (particularly how these categories intersect). I also created and taught humanities courses to high school and middle school students through the Educational Studies Program at Harvard. Through this group, I co-founded ESProut, a program focused on bringing free after-school classes to under-resourced schools in the greater Somerville area, through which I taught French and poetry. Following graduation, I spent the school-year working as an English language teaching assistant at a high school in Bordeaux, France where I created lessons focusing on grammar, vocabulary, idiomatic speech, and culture. This past year, I received my master's in English at the University of Cambridge, writing a dissertation on trans-Atlantic/trans-cultural poetry with a focus on Walt Whitman, T.S. Eliot, and Jules Laforgue. Many summers have found me working as a residential assistant for Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth, where I often would run the ever popular Seuss & Silverstein appreciation session. My ultimate goal is to become a high school English teacher and I am interested in becoming involved in educational policy at the national level later on in my life. Teaching is a joy that has always rivaled the happiness I receive from reading a great poem or communicating in another language. English and French literature are the two great passions of my life, and it is when I'm teaching that I feel most like I am doing meaningful and rewarding work. When I'm not reading poetry or practicing my French, I like boogie-boarding (a recently acquired skill), hiking, baking (often French desserts), and knitting.

I recently graduated summa cum laude from Hobart College with degrees in French and Francophone Studies and European Studies and a minor in Environmental Studies. I have three years of experience tutoring French students of all levels at Hobart and William Smith Colleges between 2014 and 2016.Although I am not a native French speaker, I believe that I am better equipped to teach the language since I have gone through the learning process myself.I am approachable, patient, and flexible and I believe it is a joy to teach.

I have a strong background in English. My years of travel experience have helped me develop excellent cultural sensitivity and awareness, and I work well with people from all backgrounds. I am especially familiar with critical analysis of film and theater, but have studied a variety of literary traditions.
