I am a Doctoral student at the University of Washington in the department of Public Health Genetics. I study how people respond differently to medications because of their genes. As a result, I spend a lot of time thinking about Biology, Chemistry, Statistics, and Policy. I love to teach and work with the Pacific Science Center as a Communication Fellow.
I attended Stanford University for both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry. While there, I researched the immune system and how asthma and allergies develop. After college I managed a summer camp where I developed my love of working with people and the mountains. In my free time, I can be found hiking, backpacking, and snowboarding.
