I've been working as a tutor for Varsity Tutors and other various tutoring companies for the past three years and have enjoyed it very much. The majority of my tutoring experience is with ACT/SAT preparation, however, I have experience tutoring various science, history, and English classes as well. My goal for each lesson is to keep my student genuinely interested in the material and lesson. From my past education experience as student, the subjects I excelled in were the ones with the most interesting and passionate teachers. Since then, I have used this as a big part of my teaching philosophy: keep every lesson as interesting and fun as possible. I believe that doing so will allow my students to genuinely enjoy our lessons, allowing them to achieve their academic goals. Because much of my tutoring over the past three years has been focused on ACT/SAT preparation, I have a great success rate when it comes to my students improving their scores. I scored a 29 on the ACT myself, so I know what it takes to do well on the test. I believe that I can teach ACT preparation in a way that students will enjoy and achieve the scores they desire.
