The student was learning about the kidneys and excretion. The kidneys and excretions are a little more complicated than some other topics in bio so we took our time and reviewed the chapter thoroughly. We also watched two videos explaining the anatomy and physiology of the kidneys and another on how the kidney filters. The student grasped the concepts very well. We went over countercurrent flow and also how excretion differs in other organisms. We went over protonephridia, metanephridia, and Malpighian tubules.
