In our first session together, the student and I covered two problem sets. The first problem set dealt with converting fractions to decimals using long division, and conversely, converting decimals to fractions. He did very well with this content. The second problem set dealt with introductory physics concepts: The relationships between distance, velocity, and acceleration. We worked on how to perform systematic unit conversions and how to calculate distance based on velocity and time. He had a more difficult time with unit conversion and we will work on this going forward.
