JEA MOON
Certified Tutor
I am a certified Korean language instructor with a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language and an official Level 2 Korean Language Teacher Certificate from the National Institute of the Korean Language. My passion for teaching comes from seeing students gain confidence as they connect language with culture, and I find great joy in helping learners achieve their goalswhether conversational fluency, academic success, or professional communication.
My teaching experience spans learners of all ages and backgrounds, from beginners exploring Kpop lyrics to professionals preparing for business negotiations. I draw on more than 25 years of global leadership and mentoring experience across Korea, the United States, Brazil, and over 30 countries worldwide, which allows me to bring authentic cultural insights into every lesson. I also served as corporate faculty at Samusng University, Samsung's Global HRD Center, mentoring executives in communication and crosscultural collaboration.
In my lessons, I combine structured instruction with authentic materials such as Kdramas, Kpop, and Korean cuisine to make learning both practical and engaging. My philosophy is that language is not just grammar and vocabularyit is a gateway to understanding people and cultures. I tailor each session to the student's learning style, ensuring that progress feels both achievable and enjoyable.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy traveling, exploring different cuisines, and sharing the richness of Korean culture with others. These experiences continually inspire me to bring fresh perspectives into the classroom and to help students discover that learning Korean can open doors to a new world.
