Kayla: Norwalk tutor
Certified Tutor
I'm currently studying Economics at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where I'm constantly inspired by the driven and talented peers around me. That same appreciation for different perspectives began much earlier, as I grew up in a very ethnically diverse community. Both experiences have shaped how I approach tutoring: with an openness to different learning styles and a commitment to making each session meaningful and tailored to the student.
I've worked with students of many ages, starting as a tutor in high school where I helped both peers and kids at a local elementary school with English and math. In addition, I worked as a kids' swimming instructor, where I learned how patience and positive reinforcement can make a big difference in building confidence. More recently, I served as a mentor during my finance internship for three years, guiding new interns and helping them adjust to the role.
Overall, my goal is to make learning clear, approachable, and confidence-building because at the end of the day, I'm a learner too, and I know we can tackle challenges together.

Outside of tutoring, I am an avid gamer, with some of my favorite games being Overwatch, Valorant, and Stardew Valley. I also love cooking and experimenting with new recipes, so feel free to ask me for some delicious, healthy (or unhealthy) recipe ideas! Lastly, I enjoy listening to K-Pop.
