As an associate professor of information technology with over five years of teaching experience, I am deeply passionate about guiding students through the complexities of cybersecurity, computer networks, database administration, and software development. I hold a master's degree in Computer, Information, and Network Security from DePaul University and a bachelor's degree in Geography from Indiana University, where I focused on geographic information systems. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering a supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to explore and engage with the material. I strive to connect real-world applications to theoretical concepts, making learning relevant and exciting. My journey from a desktop support technician to a SQL developer and ultimately to academia has reinforced my commitment to helping students succeed in their technological pursuits. I find great joy in mentoring the next generation of IT professionals, as I believe that education is a powerful catalyst for personal and professional growth.
