I recently graduated from Colgate University with a dual degree in Neuroscience and Philosophy. During my time there, I gained experience working with students as both a volunteer tutor and a peer mentor. My studies in neuroscience gave me insight into how people learn, and I draw on evidence-based strategies to help students strengthen their study skills, achieve their academic goals, and build confidence when approaching difficult questions.

While my background is mainly in the sciences, my liberal arts education prepared me to tutor across multiple domains, including algebra, chemistry, and statistics. No matter the subject, I tailor my teaching style to each student's needs while focusing on enthusiastic engagement. Research shows that active participation is key to long-term memory formation, so I aim to make every session both engaging and insightful.

Tutoring has shown me how powerful enthusiasm and confidence can be for a student's growth. I find it deeply rewarding to watch students move from uncertainty to mastery, developing not only academic skills but also confidence, independence, and curiosity.
