I hold a Master of Science in Leadership from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor's degree in English with a minor in Communications from Ohio State University. With over 10 years of experience mentoring children aged 6 to 16, I am particularly passionate about fostering a love for reading and writing. My teaching philosophy centers on creating a supportive learning environment where students feel seen, heard, and valued. I believe that understanding each child's unique interests and incorporating them into lessons can lead to significant growth and achievement. My experience homeschooling my children during the pandemic deepened my appreciation for individualized learning strategies. In my spare time, I enjoy practicing yoga and spending quality moments with my family, which helps me maintain a balanced perspective that I bring into my tutoring sessions.
