I hold a B.A., M.A., and M.F.A. in English and Creative Nonfiction, and I've taught college-level writing and literature courses for years. My approach is centered on listening closely, taking students' ideas seriously, and helping them bring clarity and confidence to their own writing.

I've spent my life circling around words teaching them, editing them, and now, trying to wrestle my own into a memoir. That means I know the struggle from both sides of the desk: the authority of a professor guiding students through Shakespeare or research writing, and the humility of staring at a blank page wondering how to begin.

Writing is hard anyone who tells you otherwise hasn't tried to do it well. But it's also where discovery happens. Whether I'm coaching a student through grammar basics, helping shape a research argument, or encouraging a voice to emerge in creative work, I bring both professional experience and the perspective of someone who continues to engage deeply with the process of writing.
