Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Carleton University, where I received my Bachelor of Computer Science with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and a Minor in Psychology. Throughout my time at university, I worked as a teaching assistant for Python courses, served as a study group leader, and often mentored peers. These experiences gave me the opportunity to guide students at different stages of their academic journeys, helping them build both confidence and strong problem-solving skills.

While I tutor a wide range of subjects, including Python, C, C++, Java, HTML, JavaScript, SQL, Object-Oriented Programming, and Math, I am especially passionate about C and C++. I find the concepts of memory allocation, debugging, and object-oriented design not only fascinating but also highly practical and directly connected to real-world software development. My background as a software developer during multiple internships, and now as a software engineer, allows me to bring both academic knowledge and industry perspective into my tutoring.

My tutoring style is patient, supportive, and highly adaptable. I believe every student learns differently, so I listen closely and explain concepts in ways that resonate with themwhether through hands-on examples, step-by-step breakdowns, or big-picture connections. I aim to create a structured yet encouraging environment, where students feel comfortable asking questions and motivated to tackle challenges.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy staying active through fitness, walking, and hiking. I also love reading and baking, which bring both balance and creativity into my daily life.
