Certified Tutor

I am a biology professional with over five years of laboratory experience. I received my Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Arizona, with a focus on fungal genetics. Since graduation, I have spent several years as the lab manager of a veterinary research laboratory, where I supervised and taught undergraduate and graduate students in a wide range of biology and chemistry topics. I also love to teach writing, where I can use my experience in science communication to help students gain confidence in their composition skills. My goal as a tutor is to give students not just raw information, but the study techniques, time-management skills, and test-taking strategies that will allow them to succeed at any subject. In my spare time I love to rock climb, bicycle tour, and write!
