I am enthusiastic about helping students for several deeply rooted and meaningful reasons. I desire to have influence, and a student succeed especially one who struggles. My experience begins by teaching 5th graders in all subjects, I taught for 2 years. Next, I taught 7th and 8th grade math for much of my teaching and tutoring experience. I have also taught and tutored online, teaching 4th graders. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in math from the University of North Texas. I also have a Master of Science Degree in Educational Leadership. I tutor elementary students in reading comprehension and math. My favorite subject to teach/tutor is math. I have most of my experience teaching this subject. I would describe my teaching philosophy and tutoring style is Essentialism. This style focuses on Core skills and knowledge of the essentials.
