Certified Tutor

I am passionate about helping students build confidence and succeed in accounting and finance because I believe education is the key to overcoming life's challenges and shaping the future you want. My goal as a tutor is to make complex concepts simple and approachable, tailoring lessons to each learner's unique needs.

I have been tutoring since high school, where I volunteered in a local after-school program in Newark, continued throughout college, and later taught Financial Accounting at the collegiate level as an adjunct professor. With a BS in Accounting from Ramapo College of New Jersey, an MS in Accountancy from the University of Phoenix, and over 20 years of professional experienceincluding 18 years as a licensed Certified Public AccountantI bring both academic knowledge and real-world perspective to my teaching.

My favorite subject to teach is Financial Accounting, as it is a foundation for all business professions. I love inspiring future accountants and business leaders, while also helping non-accounting majors see the value and practicality of the subject. My teaching philosophy is that everyone can learnjust not always the same way. By listening carefully to the areas students struggle in and identifying their learning style, I break down material into clear, manageable parts that build understanding and confidence.

Beyond teaching, I remain deeply committed to accounting and to giving back through mentorship and volunteerism. I take pride in supporting students as they grow, not only in their studies, but in their confidence to reach their goals.
